Youth Team
Sporting Clube de Goa’s youth academy, the SCG Football Academy, was launched in 2013 in partnership with Don Bosco, Panjim, on the initiative of club founder Peter Vaz. The academy covers age groups from U-10 through U-20 and was set up to implement the Sporting Clube de Goa Youth Development Plan. Today the programme trains at the club’s Don Bosco, Panjim base under Head of Youth Development Shekhar Kerkar, whose philosophy centres on a unified club style carried through every age group, from mirroring senior-team tactics to weekly in-house fixtures. The academy holds a 1-Star AIFF accreditation, reflecting its commitment to youth development within Goa’s footballing landscape.
